Eagle Rock

Drive over the low water crossing at Cypress Creek from the City of Woodcreek and you will enter the neighborhoods of Eagle Rock Ranchitos and Eagle Rock Heights. Years ago, this area was the centerpiece of an active resort community.  Now remodeled, the lodge is back and has been renamed The Lodge at Cypress Falls. Fishing and swimming in a historic swimming hole featuring the infamous Eagle Rock are available to guests. The Lodge is also the perfect location for out of town golfing groups with Woodcreek’s golf course only a few minutes away.

MOUNT BALDY

Mount Baldy, also known as Prayer Mountain, is also located in Eagle Rock. It is one of two large hills that dominate the Wimberley Valley. In 1900, both were purchased by the Lowery family and named for daughters Edith and Edna. Mount Baldy was originally “Edith.”

The Trinity Church purchased Mount Baldy several years ago. It is open to the public seven days a week. Take the stairs up the hill to view one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the Wimberley Valley. Don’t forget your camera!

Where is Eagle Rock?

Eagle Rock is located between the City of Woodcreek and Woodcreek North. Many of the homes here are situated on large lots and are the oldest in the area.  Affordability, convenience and great amenities are why residents love living here.
